IS YOUR BABY IS HEALTHY

GENETIC disorders IN infants are caused when the body lacks certain necessary chemicals or when it is unable to break down chemicals in the body which then accumulates and turn toxic। “This toxic build up can lead to slow physical development or brain damage and in some cases, even death। Most इन्फंट्स will show no obvious symptoms but the toxic build up can be rapid enough for the condition to become irreversible within a few days of birth,” says Dr Anjali Mathur, neonatologist, Moolchand Medcity।
In India, health care professionals believe that at least 100 out of 1000 infant deaths are caused by genetic disorders, a fifth of which could have been prevented by early detection. “Newborns can look healthy to the untrained eye but may have a number of underlying serious diseases that are genetically passed on by the parents. If left undetected and untreated, these diseases, aggravated by improper diets and reactive medication can lead to slow growth, mental retardation, brain damage and in some cases can prove to be labs.
