Seven-year-old Heather McNamara was heading home on Tuesday, a month after surgery that temporarily removed organs from her digestive tract to allow removal of a tennis ball-size tumor.

Doctors were able to reimplant Heather McNamara's liver and large and small intestines.

According to her surgical team at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, the operation - referred to as an "auto-transplantation" because the patient's own organs (instead of those from a donor) were reimplanted within four hours after being extracted -- is the first of its kind to be performed on a child.

BJP said VARUN GANDHI as his candidatefrom Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh as he told the Election Commission that his election speeches - which have triggered a furore for their alleged hate content - were not intended to spark communal ill-will.

The BJP, while declaring Varun Gandhi to be their candidate for Pilibhit, also urged the poll panel to take back the notice served on the party over the speeches.

"Varun Gandhi is our candidate from Pilibhit. He is the declared candidate of the party," said BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar amid speculation that the party had distanced itself from the young candidate.

CRISP ZUCCHINI

Ingredients:

• 2 Medium zuchini, sliced into 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick slices
• 2 Cups cracker crumbs
• 2/4 Cup parmesan cheese
• 2 Large eggs, beaten
• Peanut oil for frying
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1 tsp Paprika
Procedure:

• Heat oil in a pan.
• Add cracker crumbs, parmesan, salt and paprika.
• Beat eggs in a bowl.
• Dip zucchini slices in the beaten egg.
• Then coat it with seasoned crumbs properly.
• Heat oil and fry the slices till golden brown, turning once.
• Drain on paper towels to absorb oil.
• Fried Zucchini is ready to serve.
